Yo DC Ravers - what’s good?

I got back from EDC last night and my body has opinions about that. Fortunately, DC has decided that rest is not on the schedule. Memorial Day weekend is stacked across multiple venues and genres, headlined by Diplo at Echostage on Friday and DVS1 going deep at Transmission the same night. Nü Androids is bringing Helsloot to Tigres de la Noche Saturday afternoon. CapHouseFest is back at Alethia Tanner Park on Saturday with a full free all-day lineup. Flash has programming across all three days.

Project Glow Fest returns to RFK Festival Grounds May 30–31 and tickets are still available. The 5th edition of DC's home festival brings Eric Prydz, Zeds Dead, Sara Landry, Lilly Palmer, Cassian, Nicole Moudaber, Cloonee, and 50+ more across multiple stages. Club Glow has been building DC's scene for over 20 years — this is the annual proof of concept.

Still standing. Barely.

EDC Las Vegas delivered the way it always does — the Las Vegas Motor Speedway becomes something that doesn't quite feel like the real world for three days, and then suddenly it's over and you're back in an airport at 6am wondering what happened to your legs. The 30th anniversary edition brought out 450+ artists across 18 stages. I had a genuinely great time. The memories are locked in; the recovery is ongoing.

And if you're already thinking about 2027 — here is some very fresh news. Insomniac announced this week that EDC Las Vegas is going two weekends for the first time in the festival's three-decade history. The new format is called "Dusk Till Dawn." EDC Dusk runs May 14–16, 2027. EDC Dawn runs May 21–23. The full Dusk Till Dawn Experience spans 12 days from May 13–24, with curated EDC-themed events throughout Las Vegas connecting the two weekends.

Both weekends will run at reduced capacity — intentionally — to give more space on the grounds and make travel and accommodations more manageable. Single-weekend GA starts at $399. Two-weekend GA passes start at $599. Layaway is available from $5.

A few things worth knowing this weekend:

Rolling to Remember runs Saturday through Monday — thousands of motorcycles rally from the Pentagon and ride through the Mall to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. If you are moving through the Mall corridor or the bridge routes Saturday afternoon, account for it. Thunder Alley runs near the Memorial all three days.

Metro is the correct answer this weekend. Parking around NoMa, H Street, and U Street is possible but Memorial Day weekend brings extra people. Know your Lyft surge windows and build in exit time.

The NoMa corridor is running all three nights. Transmission, Vera Cocina, and Tigres de la Noche are all within a reasonable walk of the NoMa-Gallaudet Metro stop. You can plan a multi-venue evening without a car.

EDC 2027 tickets are dropping Friday at noon PT. If you're going, set the alarm now.

PLUR Corner: One thing I keep coming back to after a weekend at EDC — the festivals we've built over the past 30 years exist because people kept showing up when nobody told them to. CapHouseFest is a free community party that has run every Memorial Day for years, keeping a tradition alive that was started by people who loved the music and each other. That's the same impulse that built every stage in Las Vegas. Show up to the free party on Saturday the same way you show up for the big moments. The floor doesn't know the difference.
