Last Weekend Recap – SIDEPIECE at Echostage (Horny House Tour)
Friday night's Horny House Tour stop at Echostage was one of those nights where the lineup, the room, and the floor all aligned.
Kamino was the genuine surprise of the night — tech-house backbone with a club nostalgia you don't always get in this format. His "Unhinged" edit of Fred Again x Da Hool's Victory Lap was the kind of thing you rewind after the fact, and his "Face Melt" flip of Lil Wayne's "A Milli" locked the crowd in immediately. DC should book him back — soon.
SIDEPIECE took over at 12:45 and held court for just over two hours. Bump-heavy tech house, vocal hooks that stick, bass-house edges, zero filler. The Ke$ha Die Young remix hit around 1AM and the room didn't need convincing. Cash Out was the moment — every lyric, every person, no hesitation. Phones up, hands up, and yes, a few tears. Pure floor magic.
Worth noting: advance tickets were mid-$40s plus fees, the show sold out online, but the floor had actual breathing room. They let bodies spill onto the stage behind the decks, and the density felt right — thick enough to feel the collective drop, loose enough to actually dance. That's not always a given in that room.

Unreleased ID Tease / Track of the Week
Major tease this week when Meduza announced that they will be releasing their highly anticipated Don’t Wanna Go Home ID. I saw them debut the song at Tomorrowland last year and they played it as their closer in December at Echostage. Something about that song resonates with me (and probably you) - after all, who wants to go home?!
Tons of new music has dropped in the past week, noticeably today, John Summit released SATA - which if you haven’t heard, it’s pretty catchy.
